I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
By running the testing script consistency-test.rb, we can write to and read from a Redis Cluster periodically. The number of writes, reads, and as well as errors is logged while the script is running. Any data inconsistency can also be captured.
The first testing we performed is to bring a master instance down. We used the DEBUG SEGFAULT command to crash the I_A instance with the node ID 58285fa03c19f6e6f633fb5c58c6a314bf25503f. This command resulted in a segmentation fault of a Redis instance. As a result, the instance exited, as shown in the log of I_A. From the output of the testing program, it can be seen clearly that some write and read requests failed for a while. Later, the Cluster resumed handling the requests. In ...
