I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
5.9. Bibliographical Notes
The Catalysis method was originally developed and popularized by Desmond D'souza and Alan Cameron Wills (D'souza and Wills, 1999). Subsequently, it was developed and extended by Derek Andrews as Catalysis II, with input from Alan and others. As a result it now takes account of modern, distributed, layered component architectures such as J2EE and. NET and of SOA. A book on Catalysis II is in preparation.
Conversation theory was developed by Ian Graham between 1991 and 2008 in a number of publications and integrated into Catalysis II with the help of Derek Andrews. Derek's forthcoming book on Catalysis II goes into much more detail on the use of Coad's colour patterns to specify services (Andrews, 2009).
