When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Windows (MSVC)
A few steps will be required in order to make all of it work. Follow the guide!
- Download MSVC development libraries from http://www.libsdl.org/ SDL2-devel-2.0.x-VC.zip.
- Unpack SDL2-devel-2.0.x-VC.zip to a folder of your choice. (You can delete it afterward.)
- Copy all lib files from the following path:
SDL2-devel-2.0.x-VC\SDL2-2.0.x\lib\x64\
The lib files will be pasted here:
C:\Program Files\Rust\lib\rustlib\x86_64-pc-windows-msvc\lib
Alternatively, they'll be pasted to your library folder of choice. Ensure that you have a system environment variable with the following:
LIB = C:\your\rust\library\folder
Here, the current toolchain is probably stable-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.
