6 Camera systems for data capture
6.1 Introduction
Most applications of imaging and photography using instrumentation need a data capture stage, usually by means of a camera, recognizing that the terms imager and motion analyser are often used for alternative electronic imaging systems involving an image tube or solid state devices, specially at high framing rates (Shaftan, 1952).
