First, I thank Professor Dan Shoemaker, who introduced me to the

whole idea of software quality and audit 13 years ago in 2003, in my

master’s degree class at the University of Detroit Mercy, and also for

his recent encouragement in authoring this book. My heartfelt prayer

and salute goes to the soul of my late father Mowlana Tofael Ahmad

who left a huge legacy to me in knowledge, dignity, and principle; and

to my late mother Mushfika Begum for her unparalleled love, care,
