Using the Trash Can

The trash can enables you to store documents marked for deletion. Moving documents to the Trash folder does not delete them, because you can review the contents of the folder before you do the dreaded delete, the Trash folder is a sort of safety net.

To move a document to the Trash folder, click and drag the document to the folder from the View pane. To move several documents to the Trash folder at one time. Mark the documents and click and drag one of the documents to the Trash folder; the others come with it.

To view the contents of the Trash folder, double-click the folder in the Navigator pane. The contents appear in the View pane. To empty the Trash folder, open the folder and click the Empty Trash button on the Action ...
