
Delivering climate-change action is
increasingly complex because of the
fragmented planning system in Britain;
severe opposition to some forms of
renewable energy, such as onshore wind
farms; and the prioritisation of economic
growth over sustainable development by
successive governments.
Our failure to act on climate change is
short-sighted. We are missing a major
opportunity to create a vibrant, sustainable
low-carbon economy. We are also failing
to ensure that our communities will be
resilient in the face of climate change in
the future.
