So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This book isn’t meant to be a complete animation and visual arts college curriculum, but it’s worth detailing all of these principles in one handy reference. With every freelance or personal project I do, I subconsciously pick something from this list to try to improve on. It’s never a conscious thought, and I find the artists who do spend a lot of time actively focusing on the formal elements lose the more ethereal spark that makes art great.
