Understanding begins with highly developed awareness. You need to make a conscious effort to continuously improve your own level of awareness and understanding if you desire to master communications.
Most people are primarily focused on themselves. However, this does not mean they are fully aware of who they are, why they behave the way they do, or precisely what their intentions are. The harsh reality is they have a very limited view of the world and other people. They are ignorant. This statement is not an indictment or accusation of inferior intelligence, and it is very different from being dumb or stupid. Some people just don’t know f they don’t know. They are unconscious of their incompetence.
