I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

One of my favorite affirmations is “I do it now or write it down.” All of my clients are given a 3 × 5 card with this affirmation written on it to be used as a reminder. You will see it pinned to their bulletin boards or on their desk, and they are always asking for extras to give to their people. This habit helps ensure that nothing will fall through the cracks.
Writing things down is important. During a seminar, one of my clients shared a cute saying: “The shortest pencil is longer than the longest memory.” The added bonus to writing things down is that you have peace of mind, because you are not trying to remember a treasure trove of trivia.
