6. CREATING DOUBLE EXPOSURE PORTRAITS

DOUBLE-EXPOSURE PORTRAITS ARE a lot of fun to create and have become very popular. You can even see this effect in some current product advertisements and on movie posters. You get the best results when the first image— that of the person—is shot against a solid white background so that the details from the second photo fill in the silhouette of the person. I prefer to photograph the person either straight on (Figure 6.1) or in profile (Figure 6.2).
