It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
47. CREATING AN IN-CAMERA TIME-LAPSE
WHEN I FIRST started creating time-lapse movies, there was no option to have the camera create the final file in the camera. When I got my Nikon D4, I was suddenly able to shoot a time-lapse and have the camera create the final movie right then and there. This advance in technology made it possible to shoot a time-lapse and immediately see the results right on the camera.
The first step when shooting an in-camera time-lapse is to set the final output settings. You need to tell the camera the frame rate and frame size to use for output of the movie. As you can see in Figure 47.1, there are a lot of choices. ...
