13. MAKE SURE YOUR IMAGES ARE SHARP

HDR IMAGES WORK best when each image in the set has the exact same composition, which means you have to make sure the camera doesn’t move during the exposures. It is possible to handhold the camera, but it is a lot easier to lock the camera onto a tripod. And if you really want to make sure you get the sharpest images, you need to use a remote shutter release so you can trigger the shutter without touching the camera. Finally, if you have a DSLR, you can use the mirror lockup feature to move the mirror out of the way and lock it in position before opening the shutter.
