Consider the countless books, magazine articles, websites, or surveys that promise us “expert insights” on all manner of management topics like leadership, performance excellence, social media marketing, supply chain management, or the future of a particular industry.
The Drucker School of Management has a channel on YouTube called Drucker Insights, providing many volumes of video interviews and lectures featuring the management wisdom of legendary thought leader Peter Drucker. Microsoft runs a series of live online events called Microsoft Insights, designed to share information on emerging opportunities in the technology field. Zappos, the online shoe and apparel retailer, runs a special website called Zappos Insights, offering tips, training, and boot camps on how to create a fun workplace culture like their own—one that empowers employees and encourages happiness. Facebook offers a service called Facebook Insights, which gives developers, page managers, and marketers key page-performance metrics for tracking and improving user engagement.
