It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

ABSTRACT
News is information that describes how the state of the world is somehow different than it usually is. Even without specific understanding the full meaning of the information communicated by news, the analysis of text news can be a useful conditioning variable in making forecasts of financial market risk, particularly over shorter horizons.
