evaluation criteria better. For each of us, our own modality of thinking will

always be easier, more rational, and more internally consistent. Other peo-

ple, using their models for understanding or evaluation, will not compre-

hend how our model is better any more than we appreciate that their

approach is better. Because the model and the thinking modality go hand-

in-hand, to other people using different models, it will seem to them that

their way of thinking is better. Hence the methodology (and language) wars

— they were not so much about models and syntactic conventions as about

thinking.
