Part VICapturing the Heart of Your Brewery: How to Love Your Community
THE VAST NUMBER of breweries in the United States before Prohibition and the meteoric rise of breweries today have at least one common thread: their neighbors and their communities, both large and small, became their foundation.
Without community support, and our human fulfilment as consumers to support local businesses and business owners, this growth would never happen.
I believe we owe our local communities more than beer specials. Can you truly be a community brewery when all you are doing is accepting business from that community? We all owe it to the locals to pay that support forward and become part of the fabric of the communities we are in.
We discuss our experiences as well as share best practices with Matt Stevens of the incredibly giving Creature Comforts Brewing in Athens, Georgia.
