As I write this preface for the third edition of The Thin Book of Trust, this book has sold close to one hundred thousand copies. That isn’t a big number for many books, but for a slim volume that has had no marketing, it is a big accomplishment. It has found an appreciative audience of leaders, managers, coaches, consultants, facilitators, boards, church congregations, school districts, and many others who have used it to strengthen, sustain, and sometimes repair trust in their individual and collective relationships. It has done so based on the value of what it offers: a clear, concise, effective framework and set of practices for building trust.
