Sustain
Just as food and drink sustain our bodies, the Sustain section provides tools to nourish and comfort you through the downsides of uncertainty. Regret, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, and even embarrassment can be powerful obstacles to navigating uncertainty well. Remember, there will be obstacles whether you chose the particular uncertainty or not. The verb sustain has five important variations that illustrate what these tools involve:
- To strengthen or support physically or mentally
- To bear (the weight of an object) without breaking or falling
- To undergo or suffer (something unpleasant, especially an injury)
- To cause to continue for an extended period or without interruption
