Giving the Baseplate Depth

In this chapter, you find out how to give your baseplate depth. (If you haven’t formed the baseplate of your nameplate, see Chapter 6.) You also use the ViewCube and the Workplane together to navigate your design more effectively and then use the Group and Ungroup commands to develop your complex object from component objects.

Using the ViewCube

The ViewCube is a standard interface tool in all Autodesk applications, and Tinkercad is no exception.

The ViewCube gives you a full 360 degree view. It lets you view your design in its numerous preset views and gives you the ability to view your design from many different angles so that you can see views of your design that you may not see otherwise.

To use the ViewCube, simply hover over it and highlight which face, corner, or edge you want to view your design from.
