Adding extra floor shapes to build your skyscraper
In Chapter 11, you create your ground floor and group it into a shape that you can easily copy, move, and manipulate to help you build up extra floors in your skyscraper design in Tinkercad.
In this chapter, you utilize the Copy and Paste functions of Tinkercad and use the user interface and your mouse to your advantage to place extra floor shapes as you increase the height of your Tinkercad skyscraper.
Copying Floor Elements
After you have a floor shape/object, you can use it to create other floors in your skyscraper design.
The Copy and Paste commands in Tinkercad are helpful when you want to re-use design content quickly and effectively. The keyboard shortcuts for Copy and Paste are CTRL+C and CTRL+V, respectively. They are the same keyboard shortcuts used in most Microsoft Windows-based applications. On a Mac, you use the keyboard combinations CMD+C and CMD+V, respectively.
To copy and paste Tinkercad shapes and objects, make sure you are in your skyscraper design in Tinkercad.
