Shooting an abandoned property usually consists of three different styles of photograph:
1. Wide Shot: A wide-angle shot that captures all of the detail of a room from wall to wall.
2. Detail Shot: The zoomed-in shot that captures a specific object or texture within the room.
3. Exterior Shot: A shot of the outside of one or more buildings.
All three of these styles are taken directly from real-estate photography. We’re obviously going for a much grungier, darker feel than the perfect, well-lit photos in real estate, but the principles are identical.
