I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

3D Video Effects |
This chapter should be read in conjunction with the chapter on 2D effects. All the information regarding layering, nesting and rendering apply equally to 3D effects and these things need to be understood before using the 3D interface.
There is not space here to cover every 3D feature but this should give users a head start.
Media Composer may have 3D effects as standard (MC8000, 9000, 9000XL) or as an option (MC1000 and 4000 and 1000XL). All models of Symphony have 3D as standard. There is a 3D version of Avid Xpress but the feature set is much reduced (some of the techniques described here will not work on an Xpress).
