I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Grabbing Tracks Directly from an Audio CD
Prior to Media Composer v10, Symphony v3 and Xpress v4, it was not possible to import audio tracks directly into a bin. Below is the import procedure for these earlier versions.
Mac Systems
- Hide Avid if it is running (option-click on the desktop).
- Insert the audio CD into the computer.
- Find the Apple Quicktime Movieplayer application (if it isn’t in the Apple menu or doesn’t appear as an alias on the desktop, type
+F and type ‘Movieplayer’ in the search field). - Launch Movieplayer and choose ‘Open’ from the File menu.
- Navigate to the desktop and open the desired track from the CD.
- Click ‘Convert’ ...
