WebObjects Component State

In this section, we'll take our first look at component state, or memory. At the same time we might get a better understanding of WebObjects' application architecture, and then be able to dissect and explain the components of a WebObjects URL.

Adding a Second Page to the Application

We are going to add a second page to the Hello application. When the user submits some text, we will display it on a new page.

Go back to the Hello project in Project Builder.

Highlight the Web Components group, and then choose File, New File from the menu. This will open the New Component Assistant.

Enter Greeting for the File Name of the component.
