Customizing DirectToWeb
What was not mentioned in the last chapter, was that DirectToWeb is a highly customizable rules engine for developing applications.
We used a Project Builder Assistant generated DirectToWeb application to test the Forum model. However, in addition, we could have customized it to streamline the user interface.
Using the DirectToWeb Assistant to Customize an Application
Start by launching the ForumTest DirectToWeb application. This time though, when logging in, check the Assistant box to enable the DirectToWeb Assistant. From the DirectToWeb home page, click the Customize link to open the DirectToWeb Assistant.
Open the Edit Page for Forum by selecting Forum in the entity popup, and then click New…. This will update the ...
