Application State

Just as you can scope variables beyond a component and into the session, you can share variables between sessions by placing them in the application.

Before we embark on the next exercise, make a duplicate of the project. The changes we make to it are purely for the purpose of the exercise and, therefore, are going to be discarded.

Duplicating the Project

1.
Duplicate the Hello project directory.
2.
Rename the Hello copy directory HelloTest.
3.
Locate the Hello.pbproj file inside the new directory and rename it HelloTest.pbproj.
4.
Open the HelloTest project. Double-click the file HelloTest.pbproj or drag the entire folder into the Project Builder icon on your Desktop or Dock.
5.
Select the Targets tab and highlight the Hello
