Providing a Search Page

Any online forum deserves a good search function. We'll start developing the Search page and its results page as standard WebObjects component pages. We will, however, aim to make them stateless functions eventually.

Revisiting Fetch Specifications

We've come across fetch specifications before, in Chapter 7, “A Game of Crazy Eights: Beginning Enterprise Objects,” where the standard FetchAll fetch specification was used to fetch forums as shared objects.

However, perhaps it is time to look at fetch specifications in more detail. In particular, how we can set up fetch specifications in Enterprise Object models without having to do so programmatically.
