Creating a Stateless Application

If you weren't already aware of it, you have been using and developing a direct-action application. The DynamicMovies example that you've been developing is a direct-action application.

So really we've been holding off on discussing direct actions long enough. It's time to take an in-depth look at them.

Introduction to Direct Actions

So far, when running a WebObjects application we have always been presented with the Main component as the starting page. For most applications this is the only way to enter an application.

The advent of direct actions changed this. Now, you are allowed to enter a WebObjects application from any one of these direct-action pages. Hence the name direct action.
