The principles behind localizing a direct-action application are about the same as a typical WebObjects application. In fact, there are more options available for a typical application. Here we'll look at techniques that are applicable to both styles of application.
The simplest strategy for localization is to create separate apps for each language. In practice this is what happens for larger sites that get administered locally.
However, for smaller applications, the hassle of administrating separate apps for each language can make it counter productive. In which case, it makes sense to employ some of the localization techniques available to WebObjects applications, which we'll look at next.
