Now that we have a sound base of knowledge concerning TCP/IP,
which includes IP addressing as well as the use of the Command
Prompt and how data flow on a network, we are ready to focus on
Windows built-in networking tools. In this chapter we cover in detail
the operation and utilization of a variety of Windows built-in net-
working tools that can be used to perform different functions as well
as ascertain if current networking conditions would enable you to
perform future operations in a reasonable manner, such as integrat-
