I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why use WordPress REST API?
The introduction of REST API opens up a lot of new possibilities as to what you can do with a WordPress site and what you can use it for. For instance, via REST API, you can interact with WordPress content remotely, add new content, erase content, or perform any other operation. Just to name one major possibility, this makes it easy to create a mobile app for your website, and have the app communicate with the website via REST API. In other words, if you want to communicate with a WordPress site via any other way than by visiting the site directly, then you can do that with the REST API.
