So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Manual plugin installation
As an example here, I will install a popular plugin called Jetpack by WordPress.com. It's quite a large plugin, offering a range of features and effectively making your WordPress site more functional and easier to use at the same time. We'll discuss it in more detail later in this chapter. This being said, the following procedure allows you to install any WordPress plugin you can get your hands on, not only Jetpack.
To install a plugin manually, you must start by downloading the plugin archive either from the official directory at https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or from some other website or source (usually when dealing with premium plugins).
