In recent years there has been a remarkable increase in the number of organizations that refer proudly to their ‘learning culture’ or claim to be learning organizations. One look at Fast Company (www.fastcompany.com) or any business journal will prove that. These topics and concepts around the learning organization, however, emerged out of, and were vibrant and alive in, the 1980s and 1990s.
