Named entity recognition
In NLP, there are many use cases where we need to identify certain words and numbers from unstructured data as belonging to predefined categories, such as phone numbers, postal codes, names, places, or countries. This is used to provide a structure to the unstructured data. This process is called named entity recognition (NER).
