It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
10. HYBRID SYSTEMS
HYBRID AUTOFOCUS SYSTEMS take the standard contrast detection system of the mirrorless camera and include elements of the phase detection system used in DSLRs. The idea is to take advantage of the speed of the phase detection system and add to it the accuracy of the contrast detection system.
The hybrid AF system starts with a standard image sensor with a number of phase detection sensors embedded between the light-gathering pixels.
