It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
17. AUTOFOCUS CALIBRATION
A DOWNSIDE TO the phase detection system is that even the slightest of error in the distance calculation will result in an out-of-focus image. The result of such an error would be a consistent problem of either front focusing or back focusing. Previously, a calibration problem could only be rectified by a repair technician. These issues can now be resolved in the menu of the DSLRs that offer AF Micro adjustment, AF fine-tune, or AF Fine Adjustment.
