So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
9. CONTRAST DETECTION
MIRRORLESS CAMERAS USE a focusing system called contrast detection, and as you might have guessed, it uses contrast from the image sensor to determine if a subject is in focus. When a mirrorless camera is in the standard ON position, light is passing through the lens and onto the sensor (Figure 9.1). If the lens is not focused, the subject will be blurry. As a result, it will have very low contrast around the edges.
