4. If a file you’re not ready to commit appears in the list, select it and click Ignore.
5. When you’re ready, click Commit.
Dreamweaver displays the Background File Activity dialog as the files are being
transferred.
It’s important to keep in mind that until you commit a file, your work has not been integrated into
the project.
Getting latest versions
So far you’ve seen how to post your work to the Subversion project, but how do you integrate other
developer’s work with your local files? The Get Local Version command does exactly that. When you
choose Get Local Version, the selected file does not replace your current version, but rather merges
with it. Any code in the repository version that is not in your local file—which does not conflict
with any changes you have made—is written into your local file.
To get the latest version of a file or files, follow these steps:
1. From the Files panel, select one or more files you wish to update.
2. Right-click (Control-click) and choose Version Control ➪ Get Latest Version.
3. The Background File Activity dialog displays the progress of the transfer and closes when
the operation is complete.
You’ll notice that if the file you got the latest version of had been modified locally, the green check-
