OECD is a forum where 34 democratic market-economy countries work together along with over 70 non-member countries to promote economic growth, prosperity, and sustainable development. As part of this mission, the organization compiles a database of economic and related statistics, which it makes available to everyone.

The Organization provides a setting where governments can compare policy experiences, seek answers to common problems, identify good practice, and coordinate domestic and international policies.
