INTRODUCTION TO SECTION VIII

Much of the discussions in Sections VI and VII focused on the experimental social network systems

and applications we have developed. Many of our systems utilize semantic web technologies for rep-

resentation and reasoning. In Section VIII, we discuss experimental secure social media systems.

In particular, we discuss multiple query-processing prototypes for social media systems. We also

discuss privacy-preserving social media integration.
