Now that we have discussed the supporting technologies for analyzing and securing social media, in
Section II we will explore various aspects of analytics and the security of such systems. In particu-
lar, we will examine the data mining tasks for social media systems, as well as discuss condenti-
ality, privacy, and trust for such systems. We will also discuss the representation and reasoning of
social networks using semantic web technologies.
