It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Video and Voice Chat
Just because you have a tablet doesn’t mean you can’t call someone. Modern Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) tools offer the ability to relay voice calls over the Internet. You can even use your tablet to make calls to people who use telephones.
Tablets with front-facing cameras make ideal video conferencing tools, and there are an increasing number of services that take advantage of mobile tools for video chats. You can use your tablet’s native Gmail features, or you can use third-party tools to chat with users on just about any platform. In this chapter, I’ll explore a few ways to have live conversations using video or voice, and I’ll give you step-by-step instructions for using two commonly used apps:
