Games for Children
I’m a mother, and I’ve been known to pass my tablet to one of my children to keep them entertained during a long car ride; however, I don’t recommend most children’s games.
Android tablets weren’t designed with children in mind. Unlike iPads, Android tablets don’t make it easy to lock away features like in-app purchases and web browsing. Some games attempt to compensate for this by locking you into an app until you perform some unlocking action; unfortunately, that often makes the device crash or ends up locking out the adult. If you allow your child to use a tablet and don’t want her to accidentally delete your apps or find inappropriate Internet content, the best solution is still direct supervision.
