Android tablets come with a built-in dictionary. It's used to make suggestions and correct typos as you type, but it doesn't know about every word you use.
One of the first things I like to do with a new device is add “Marziah” to the user dictionary, so my name doesn't get autocorrected to March, Maryland, or Maria; and so I don't have to type the entire thing out in order to write it. Maybe you also have an unusual name, or you use an acronym at work that throws off the word suggestions. Follow these steps to add a word to the user dictionary in Honeycomb, as shown in Figure 3–5:
