Installation
Installation is almost certainly a differentiator for SaaS. If enterprise software installation were as easy as on most tablets or smartphones—just click “Install” and wait a few seconds—it would not be much of a concern. However, in many cases, the process of enterprise software installation is more like installing a new kitchen. Everything is a mess for an interminable period, various random components function at unpredictable intervals as they are ripped out and replaced, nothing seems to fit the way it looked on the blueprint, and you eat off of paper plates for months. By comparison, SaaS is like going to a restaurant: As long as you have a means of access (transportation) and a credit card, you can eat all you want.
