Employee satisfaction is partly a result of quality user experience, but it is certainly more than that. Cloud services can enhance autonomy and the perception of control by freeing employees to be creative and solve problems, whether it is something as simple as searching for an answer or using a cloud-based platform to build or extend a solution.
Although the traditional maxim suggests that “The customer comes first,” there is also a school of thought that “The employee comes first.”13 Rather than a platitude, the point is that unhappy employees who lack autonomy are unlikely to drive quality customer interactions.
