I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Investment
The profile of cash and capital changes with SaaS. Whether it is better or not depends on many factors. For a small number of users, the lack of up-front investment coupled with the nominal, low per-use prices can offer unbeatable savings versus traditional licensing models and ongoing maintenance fees.
However, as always, it is certainly possible that it is cheaper to agree to an enterprise license agreement for packaged software enabling unlimited users, or some number of anonymous users, than to pay by the user per month.
