When talking or presenting to HR audiences around the world, one of the recurring questions I am asked is ‘Can good people practice make organizations successful?’ My answer is ‘No.’ It can make them better. It can help them improve, but for any business to be successful it needs to have a clear business strategy and a relentless focus on providing value to its customers.
