About the entrepreneurs

I love the intensity, conviction and excitement of entrepreneurs. They are very different people. They challenge and want to be challenged. Life really is about dreams and ambitions. I wanted to try to capture some of this optimism, energy and honesty in this book. I wanted people who were smart and diverse in opinion and belief. I wanted people who would trust me and be prepared to be as open and honest as I was being. I wanted people who had really worked at it through thick and thin. I didn’t want the typical business faces or heroes of business books and the myths and hype that surround them. I wanted it to be raw and revealing – small nuggets of insight, pleasure and pain.
